Why Study At Regent British School?
RBS is following the National Curriculum of England, which is one of most coveted and accepted school curricula worldwide. This curriculum is supported by a strong research-driven syllabus in all major subjects and gives our pupils the ability to acquire a resilient educational foundation as well as the opportunity to pursue a higher education and career of their choice.

FUN AND ASPIRATION LEARNING

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) focuses on children aged 3 to 5 and provides a foundation for future learning through a play-based curriculum. The EYFS framework is designed to support young children’s development in seven key areas: Personal, Social, and Emotional Development; Physical Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; and Expressive Arts and Design. The aim is to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can develop a love of learning and build essential skills such as confidence, social interaction, and early literacy and numeracy.

COMMUNICATION AND ARTICULATE

Key Stage 1 (KS1) covers ages 5 to 7 (Years 1 and 2). At this stage, children are introduced to more formal learning while continuing to build on the foundation established in EYFS. The KS1 curriculum includes core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Computing, along with foundation subjects like History, Geography, Art and Design, Music, and Physical Education (PE). The focus is on developing basic literacy and numeracy skills, fostering a sense of curiosity, and encouraging children to explore the world around them. Learning remains interactive and engaging, with a strong emphasis on phonics, reading, and number skills.

INTERROGATE AND DEBATE

Key Stage 2 (KS2) encompasses ages 7 to 11 (Years 3 to 6). During KS2, the curriculum builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in KS1, with an increased focus on academic rigor and depth of understanding. Core subjects—English, Mathematics, and Science—remain central, with additional emphasis on subjects such as History, Geography, Design and Technology, Art and Design, Music, Computing, and PE. Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) may also be introduced. The curriculum aims to develop independent thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of subject content. Assessment at the end of KS2 helps gauge students’ readiness for secondary education

THINK AND ACT

The Senior School phase includes Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), catering to students aged 11 to 16 (Years 7 to 11).
– *Key Stage 3 (KS3)*: Ages 11 to 14 (Years 7 to 9). The curriculum in KS3 continues to provide a broad and balanced education across a wide range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Art, Design Technology, Computing, Music, Physical Education, and Religious Studies. KS3 is designed to consolidate prior learning and prepare students for the more specialized study at KS4. It encourages analytical thinking, research skills, and effective communication.
– *Key Stage 4 (KS4)*: Ages 14 to 16 (Years 10 and 11). At KS4, students begin their General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) courses. They typically choose a combination of core subjects (English, Mathematics, and Science) and optional subjects based on their interests and future aspirations. GCSEs are designed to be rigorous, with final examinations assessing students’ knowledge and understanding. The KS4 curriculum aims to prepare students for further education, whether that be A-levels, vocational qualifications, or other pathways.
